Bat & Ball new paint scheme

The shelter on platform one at Bat & Ball station has been repainted to match the colour scheme of the station building. It would be good to see the footbridge repainted to match the other structures on the station.

Crime and fare evasion on the railway are nothing new

While doing some research on the Internet, I discovered the following of local interest.

The Maidstone Telegraph, on Saturday 13 August 1870, reported that a George Weston was charged with travelling on the London, Chatham, and Dover Railway without having previously paid his fare, and with intent to avoid payment thereof.
