Note: an update on travel services is here
The Southeastern website is currently (1630) warning that there may be no trains until 0900 or 1000 tomorrow, Monday 28 October, due to the impending overnight storm:-
Important announcement
The weather forecast for tonight is for severe storms. Strong winds and heavy rainfall can cause trees and branches to fall onto the railway lines and localised flooding.
If the storm hits our region as predicted – then we may need to start train services later than usual tomorrow morning, likely around 9 or 10am. This will give Network Rail the chance to clear the tracks.
It’s important to say at first it will not be the full timetable – so we’ll be publishing a guide as to what services will be running later this evening.
So, keep an eye on [Southeastern’s] website and check before you travel as we may need to change our train service in response to the weather conditions.

It’s only October and it looks like they are giving up before they even start. Will they stop running the trains if leaves on the line are predicted by the all to unpredictable weather bureau?
