Delay Repay Claims: total 1 January 2020 to 30 April 2020 inclusive = £10.70
(Southeastern £10.70, Thameslink £0)
My Senior Railcard is gathering dust due to the current Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. April 2020 is the first month in which I have not travelled on a train for over forty-five years. Looking on the bright side, I have not experienced any delays or cancellations!
My Advance Ticket refunds are progressing well, and have been received for the following return journeys that I had booked: –
- 15 April: Bat & Ball to Kidderminster
- 23 April: Bat & Ball to Cardiff Central
- 8 May: Bat & Ball to Stockport
- 21 May: Bat & Ball to Lincoln
My planned return journey from Bat & Ball to Bristol on 20 March was just before the period that Advance Tickets became refundable. However, the Great Western Railway Website was offering a free exchange of Advance Tickets valid on this date for travel on another date. I was unable to achieve this online and I have contacted the Great Western Railway twice in this respect. Still waiting for a reply.
On 23 April I was intending to travel to Cardiff to attend an event. This was cancelled and I obtained a refund on my Advance Tickets. However, on the 22 April I received an e-mail reminding me of the details of my journey on the 23 April!
