One hundred years ago Rupert Brooke asked:
Stands the Church clock at ten to three?
And is there honey still for tea?
and so made time stand still in Grantchester.
Now time is standing still at Bat & Ball too. For a few weeks now the station clock has been constantly displaying the time as being 09.34.51 on one side and 09.34.5 on the other.
Perhaps this is in homage to the poet? Or is it just another example of poor maintenance?
