We are getting a bit concerned about the state of the footbridge at Bat & Ball station.

Currently there are two steps that have fairly advanced signs of rot and about four more that have early signs of rot including infestation with fungi.  The sixth step down from the top on the platform 1 side is beginning to deteriorate; it is possibly starting to rot because a part of it is breaking away from the main part of the wooden step.  Another clue to the steps rotting is that some of the nails fixing the non-slip panels to the wooden steps are coming loose, and one or two are missing.

We have advised Southeastern of this, but there has been no response yet.
