There have been a number of changes recently at Bat & Ball, writes our correspondent Keith Alderman. The Permit to Travel machine has been removed and there is a new base and cabinet possibly for a ticket machine; in the meantime there is no way to buy a ticket. There is a new wheelchair ramp, but it’s not clear how it could be used. There is a new information board, but it’s sited so that you need to stand in mud or weeds in order to read it.
