The Sevenoaks Rail Travellers Association (SRTA) this week called for action over the London Bridge closure plans, which will affect commuters from Sevenoaks, Hildenborough, Dunton Green and Knockholt.

As part of major plans to redevelop London Bridge station, trains travelling to and from Charing Cross will not stop there for 18 months from January 2015.

From August 2016 trains travelling to and from Cannon Street will not stop at London Bridge for another 18 months.

SRTA’s Tony Clayton said: “This will be a big problem for Sevenoaks. We’ve been told they will have plans in place for managing the trains, but we want to know they have plans in place for managing the people.”
