Success! Following her earlier report our Borough Green correspondent Karen Harding has relentlessly pursued Southeastern about the removal of the fast direct peak-hour services from Ashford via Maidstone East, Borough Green and Otford to the City for week commencing 5 January. She finally took the campaign to the Evening Standard and got some action just in time for Christmas!
Regular commuters from Borough Green & Wrotham will know that there are only a few direct services from Ashford via Maidstone East, Borough Green and Otford to the City. For the week commencing 5 January until the new timetable change on 11 January, Southeastern have removed all the Ashford-Bedford services from the timetable – and have not told passengers they have done so.
