Twitter’s Reaction to Southeastern MD’s claim of “no particular reports of overcrowding” — 3 Comments

  1. Are you sure he’s the MD? The words “managing director” don’t seem to have much to do with “management” or “direction” did he read his job description?

  2. Stopping trains in the evening seem really, really busy (esp. around Lewisham). I do think that reports from ‘the field’ aren’t getting back to base as quickly as they should be (or the MD’s team aren’t briefing him to save their own jobs)…

  3. Rarely have I heard a more misinformed comment. Was this Mr Statham’s Gerard Ratner moment? On three trains i travelled on last week the conductors made announcements referring to ‘serve overcrowding’ Given how out of touch he appears to be perhaps Mr Statham should visit LB or CS in the evening peak or travel on a Sevenoaks to CS train in the morning peak. An apology to commuters would be highly appropriate for these inappropriate comments.
