I now need to wear my reading spectacles to read what is printed on the tickets.<\/p>\n<p>The new design of ticket makes it much\u00a0more difficult to read:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>crowded lines of text<\/li>\n<li>the use of lower case for the key information (origin, destination and date)<\/li>\n<li>the use of a (even) smaller font for some information<\/li>\n<li>the unstructured layout in which key information cannot be seen as a glance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Approximately one third of the ticket is now a blank space (space for advertising? we will see in time).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/srta.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/old-style-ticket.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1320\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1320\" src=\"https:\/\/srta.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/old-style-ticket-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"old-style-ticket\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/srta.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/old-style-ticket-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/srta.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/old-style-ticket-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/srta.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/old-style-ticket-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/srta.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/old-style-ticket-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>We wonder whether the new design complies with the requirements of the Equality Act &#8211; or even whether the new design has been properly tested on real passengers.<\/p>\n<p>We also wonder whether it has been tested on conductors who check tickets on trains &#8211; it is hard to believe that the information that they check at a glance is as easy to see.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the new design?
